Q: Tell us your Kitchen & Company story.
A: I’ve been with Kitchen & Company for a year and a half. I purchased a home in the Lewes area back in 2010 and was looking to move here full time in 2015. I was shopping at Kitchen & Company and saw that there was an opening for an assistant store manager position. I have many years of experience managing large department stores, so I applied and the rest is history!
Q: What is your favorite food to cook?
A: My favorite food to cook is all things seafood. I love to make crab imperial and Coquille St. Jacques (a classic French preparation of scallops in a creamy sauce). In the winter, I love to make hearty dishes like shepherd’s pie.
Q: What is the best tool in your kitchen?
A: I’ve only really begun to start baking, but having the KitchenAid stand mixer has made my life so much easier.
Q: What is a fun fact no one would typically know about you?
A: When not at work, I love to spend my time gardening. I’ve been growing most of my plants from seed and it’s my place to get away from the world.
Q: If you could have any person over for dinner, who would it be and what would you cook for them?
A: Well, I’m actually looking forward to doing a small college friend reunion down here at the Delaware shore next year. I’ll be making crabs and clams, of course.
Q: Tell us about one of your favorite guest interactions.
A: The interactions I love most are when I learn something new about a kitchen tool, a recipe, or even a nearby restaurant to try. This is one job where I truly learn something new about the products we sell each and every day.
